THE PEACE PIC PROJECT

In 2011, after a conversation amongst friends about the environment, race and geo political affairs, I noticed  there was one thing missing from each topic; the word Peace.
What is its true meaning?
How can a diverse group of people define such a small word; which can have world-wide implications?  I decided that I would use my camera lens to tell the story.  It is called:
The Peace Pic Project
The tools required are minimal: an index card and a black marker.  I hand the participant an index card and on one side of the card they write the word “Peace,” and on the flip side they write what Peace means to them.  Once completed, I would capture a black and white image of them holding the card;  with the word Peace facing the camera lens.
Participants would come from all walks of life: the everyday person;  the entrepreneur, the Professional athlete, the politician the professor, the Hollywood A-lister, the participant pool is endless.
Peace is a 5 letter word with universal implications. This project would serve as a catalyst for conversation and understanding.
